I looked at a number of activity mats and I’m glad I went with this one. I would highly recommend it. The mat seems durable and the archway appears sturdy. The way the toys are attached, it seems like if my cat gets too rough, it would be easy to reattach or attach new ones.Most of the mat is just soft and lightly padded, but the giraffe’s neck has that crinkly stuff that I guess a lot of cats like. My cat is new, I have not yet determined if she likes that part but I think it is a great design.My cat hasn’t had much interest in a lot of the things I purchased in anticipation of her arrival, but she does play with this a fair amount. Sometimes I entice her by shaking one of the bells and sometimes she plays with it on her own. I try to review cat products based mostly on the quality since if she were *not* interested I don’t think that would be a fault of the product, but I’m certainly glad she likes it.Overall this activity mat is very cute, thoughtfully designed, and seems reasonably durable.

We got this for our new kitten and he is starting to play with it and enjoy it. He loves the balls and toys hanging from it, and 3 of the items have bells in it, so that gets his attention. The only reason why I did not give it 5 stars is that once he gets a lot bigger, I am not sure if he is going to like playing with it – it’s on the small side. But perfect for kittens and we are happy with our purchase.
